Mark Victor Hansen, Relentless by Mitzi Perdue is an endeavour to inspire people to overcome their inhibitions, reject the fear of failure, and let go of their past. This biography documents Mark Victor Hansen’s journey of achievements, obstacles, failures, and challenges. Remarkably, Mark Hansen’s book “Chicken Soup for the Soul” was rejected 144 times before being published. The book was later bought by half a billion customers worldwide and is still counting. Proving that age is a number Mark Hansen in his fifties was “scaling the heights of professional success” as a motivational speaker. Mitzi Perdue devotes a chapter to Mark Hansen’s failed marriage, bankruptcy, and his fallibility as anyone on this planet. His introspection led him to believe that he could make a difference in other people’s lives. Mark went on to assist people in achieving their goals. Mark believed in giving and tithing to a cause. He was convinced that generosity does not go unnoticed. Life gives back tenfold. Some detractors thought Mark Hansen was litigious in the face of any disputes. They observed that Mark Hansen was litigious because he wanted to prevent anyone from taking advantage of his trusting nature.
Libraries all over the world offer “Chicken Soup for the Soul” for readers who want to invigorate their souls. If for some reason readers have not, I would recommend reading Mitzi Perdue’s Mark Victor Hansen Relentless. The book has bountiful wisdom. Wisdom we are all aware of but do not wholeheartedly implement. I was influenced by Mark Hansen’s quote on Page 103 which said, “The only people who have no problems are dead people”. In other words, life will challenge us with obstacles. As Mark Hansen will say if it is a No consider it On. And the power of Next. A book that refreshes and updates your perceptions of life.
Marriages are between imperfect partners. The only negative I thought was, that Mitzi Perdue would have done well to advise readers that there is nothing called perfect partners in marriages. Mark Victor Hansen was exceptionally fortunate to have ticked 267 qualities out of 267. I am worried readers who want to marry, inspired by Mark Hansen’s life might look for a perfect 10 partner and not find one. Marriages do well when they survive and thrive in imperfections.
A rare typo and my observations on perfect marriage partners will not stop me from giving it a rating of four out of four stars.
Are you at the crossroads of your life? Do you need the inspiration to break your shackles of doubt and negativity? Mitzi Perdue’s Mark Victor Hansen Relentless will make a difference. It may or may not make you an overnight success but could set you on the right path. Definitions of success, goals, or happiness could vary, and this book encourages you to set your parameters. Enjoy the “Relentless” journey. I would recommend this book to your home library.
